5 places in Bratislava to get quality clothes at a good price
The capital has excellent vintage shops.
It will take a while for Bratislava to become a smaller version of Copenhagen. However, with every year the number of vintage shops is increasing, with more businesses offering a larger selection of original assortment.
Make no mistake though, vintage shops are not to be confused with second-hand shops, there is a difference. The clothes in the former are specific to a certain period and individual pieces may not have been worn before. The latter means any used clothing. Vintage shops and even second-hand shops no longer stink, and the claim that fast fashion chains offer "more modern clothes" is no longer valid. Especially when the Y2K, 1990s or 1980s trends have recently been considered modern.
Many stores with used or vintage clothing are able to promptly respond to demand and still offer original pieces. Let us remind you, you don't have to be a fashionista to get something nice.
Ejtytu Vintage Shop

Ejtytu Vintage Shop sells, among other things, cult brands such as Levi's, Dickies, Carhartt, Kappa, Wrangler and Lee. We were particularly interested in the huge selection of high-quality denim, jackets and rock band shirts and t-shirts from the 1980s. Analog cameras, decorations are on offer too, and we suspect that even a bicycle was sold there a few times. The pleasant interior is also impressive, if you like retro, you'll definitely find something here.

The first 'scented' thrift store in Bratislava offers, in addition to a rich selection of clothes for everyday wear, the upcycled collection Renewals by Nosene, in which old clothes are sewn into new interesting pieces. Nosene also has its own online shop, where you can find, for example, Novesta sneakers, Slovak cosmetics and second-hand books.
2ndjudgment

The 2ndjudgement vintage shop offers casual and streetwear clothing, original caps and bags, as well as upcycled pieces. While the Nosene upcycled collection is made in a more soft neutral style, the 2ndjudgment collection is more extravagant, giving it a memorable vibe. Before opening a brick-and-mortar store this year, the vintage shop operated on a pop-up store and swap basis. 2ndjudgment also has an online shop where, in addition to clothing, art is also sold; furniture should be added over time. From 2021, some pieces can be found on Etsy.
Gerar

Gerar offers vintage, hype and limited editions, as well as brand new pieces flashing the Carhartt, Palace, Supreme tags as well as many others. In our opinion, Gerar certainly has the best selection of leather jackets, and don't get us started on the Polo knitted ski sweaters by Ralph Lauren. Gerar has higher prices than other shops on the list, but has a truly exceptional offer.
Textile House Vintage Shop

The vintage shop on Františkánske námestie square is basically a more luxurious and intimate operation of the Textile House second-hand chain. You can find everything in the store, but we recommend going for oversized jackets and knitted items. If you're lucky, you can also come across a designer bag. We already had a Ferragamo one in our hands, as well as a Chloé bag. In the first half of 2024, a new vintage store on Poštová Street opened. You can find a lot of Textile House second-hand stores in Bratislava; of these, the one on Páričková Street has the best Google rating.
