The Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Malta after a Moroccan passenger requested medical treatment.
As the aircraft stood on the runway and the luggage of the sick man was being locatewd to be taken off the plane, the four passengers made a run for it.
TVM reports that the men opened the door at the back of the plane, jumped off, and made off.
Two of them has been arrested while a search continues for the others.
The man who was taken to hospital after reporting sick on the plane has been placed under police observation.
The flight departed from Istanbul in Turkey and was on its way to Marrakesh in Morocco.
