The police have confirmed that a number of schools, both government and Church, have received an email with a bomb threat on Monday morning.
The emails were received just before the school day started.
Students who were already inside were evacuated while parents of others who arrived at the school premises were told to stay with their children.
One of the schools that have been hit is Naxxar (photo), but the police said that other schools have received the same email.
This has also led to chaos on the streets in the vicinity of many of the schools in question.
