A number of people charged in connection to the hospitals concession, including Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi, Keith Schembri, have called on the police commissioner to take criminal action against a forensic expert, the Times of Malta reports.

They called on the Commissioner to take action against Miroslava Milenović, one of the forensic experts appointed in the inquiry who testified in the court case on Wednesday, and who said that she does not hold a warrant to practice as an accountant. When concluding the cross-examination on Wednesday Milenović was asked why she had not disclosed her lack of an active warrant to the inquiring magistrate who appointed her as a forensic accountant, with her promptly responding that she is "an accountant." She had said that after having studied for a five months accountancy course, she had become an accountant. She said that after the course she obtained an ACCA diploma.

The Times reports that Muscat and the other complainants highlights that she been appointed by various magistrates to assist them in their in genere inquiries, always on the pretext of her declaration that she was an accountant. However the complainants said that Milenovic admitted that she was not an accountant.

The complainants asked the police commissioner to investigate the matter and to take action for a number of alleged crimes including perjury, malicious use of false documents, false declarations to a public authority, forgery and use of forged documents, obtaining money through false pretences, among others, the Times reports.

Lawyer Jason Azzopardi said on Facebook that Milenović had been an expert in the Egrant inquiry, and that Muscat "had accepted and rode on her conclusions."
