Floriana easily won the first leg of the first qualifying round of the Conference League against San Marino’s Tre Penne after suffering an early second scare when Tre Penne took a surprise lead.
Floriana dominated the first half but could not find a way past Migani. At the start of the second half Tre Penne took the lead but the Greens had a stunning come‐ back scoring three goals in the space of eight minutes to put the game to bed.
Floriana were simply the better team and should find little or no difficulty in defending their lead next week in San Marino to move to the next round.
The match had a slow start with Floriana taking the initia‐ tive and making their intentions clear from the start. But their first attempt came on 12 minutes with a long‐range effort from Jake Grech that was saved by Mi‐ gani.
Tre Penne’s reply came five minutes later with an Amati drive going over the bar. On 18 minutes a long ball towards Reid caught the Tre Penne defence by surprise but Migani saved the day with a great save.
Floriana were now finding more space and Dos Santos missed a sitter failing to connect in front of goal. Tre Penne had their best chance on the half hour with Mafoumbi making a great save off Guidi. Jake Grech had a good move on the right but again Migani saved well.
Two minutes into the second half Guidi had acres of space but all alone in front of goal shot in‐ credibly wide. Guidi made no mistake on 50 minutes however when he beat Mafoumbi from the edge of the area.
Tre Penne’s joy was shortlived as five minutes later a Kemar Reid cross from the left was met by Nwoko who headed home.
Two minutes later the Greens were in front when Dos Santos’s low cross from the right found Dunstan Vella on the right spot and the Floriana captain fired home.
Floriana were now on fire and on 63 minutes they scored a third. Reid was again supreme on the left and his cross was drilled home by Dos Santos.

Marsaxlokk obtained a good 1‐1 in Tirana against Partizani in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
Marsaxlokk were returning to european football after a long ab‐ sence and the start was not promising as Partizani took a third minute through Muratai.
But Marsaxlokk were back on level terms on 15 minutes when Yuri Messias scored a great goal from a distance.
The return leg will be played next week at the Centenary Stadium.
