60 people were arrested after being found to have been living or working in the country irregularly, the police said.

The people were taken to a detention centre until the necessary preparations to return them to their country of origin, or to a country they have permission to reside in, are complete, the police said.

For some of the inspections, the police were assisted by officials from the Detention Services Agency, the police said. "Enforcement regarding immigration is continuous and will continue in the coming days, including through coordinated work between the police force and other entities."
