Termini McDonald's shuttered as 'hotbed of violence'
Lair of criminals, theatre of robberies and attacks says prefect
The McDonald's at Rome's Termini
Station has been shuttered for 10 days because it is a "lair of
criminals and theatre of robberies, brawls and violent attacks,"
Tome Prefect Roberto Massucci ordered Wednesday.
He said seven episodes of violence had been reported at the
fast-food joint in the last three weeks.
Crime has risen around Termini Station, and at other main city
centres, amid a rise in the number of rough sleepers there, many
of them migrants.
