TAR rejects unions' appeal agst back-to-work order- ministry
I defend Italians' right to move says Salvini
The transport ministry said on
Thursday that the regional administrative court (TAR) of Lazio
has rejected an appeal filed by a number of unions against a
back-to-work order issued by Deputy Premier and Transport
Minister Matteo Salvini for transport workers during a national
strike scheduled on Friday.
The general strike proclaimed by the CGIL and UIl unions against
the 2025 budget will therefore remain 8 hours for the entire
work shift for all public and private sectors, with the
exception of transport where it remains reduced to 4 hours, in
particular for local public transport, air transport and
maritime transport, based on the ordinance signed by Salvini.
The stop for planes, including air traffic controllers, will be
from 10 am to 2 pm.
The transport ministry said Salvini expressed "great
satisfaction" after TAR's ruling.
"I defend the right to move of Italians", stated the minister.
