Pope visits Pontifical Gregori

Pope Francis on Tuesday paid a visit to the Gregorian University, the oldest of the Roman pontifical universities.
The university was founded in 1551 by Ignatius of Loyola, who also founded the Jesuit order that Francis belongs to.
It has contributed to the formation of 16 popes, 27 saints and 57 people to have been beatified.
Around 36% of the current College of Cardinals and 24% of the world's Catholic bishops are also former students of the Jesuit university Today the Gregorian has about 3,000 students, both men and women, religious and lay people, from 121 countries.
During his speech, Francis stressed that education must "not be a privilege".
He said that this was the case in the past and this "condition that has not yet died out".
