Tajani says wants to occupy space btwn Meloni and Schlein
But we've always been loyal, never with PD or M5S
Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister and
Forza Italia (Fi) leader Antono Tajanai repeated Sunday his
centre-right post Berlusconi FI wants to occupy the space
between rightwing Premier Giorgia Meloni and centre-left
opposition Democratic Party (PD) leader Elly Schlein.
"I believe that everything we do helps the centre-right. My goal
is to continue to win, and occupy the spaces that are left
vacant today, the space between Giorgia Meloni and Elly
Schlein," Tajani said.
"I always say the same thing: Forza Italia must occupy that
space, we are working to occupy a political space that a modern
centre-right cannot leave to others
"This, however, has nothing to do with not backing the
government.
"We have always been loyal, we will never go into government
either with the Democratic Party or with the (leftist populist)
5-Star Movement (M5S)."
