Two Irish EuroMillions players won huge prizes in Friday night's draw. The National Lottery has revealed the shops that sold the winning tickets as part of their appeal for the winners to come forward.

The search is on for two Irish EuroMillions players who won big in Friday night's draw.

One player was agonisingly close to winning the jackpot of almost €53 million, missing out by just one number! But they can still celebrate with a €179,667 prize after matching all five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars.

Another player also came close to the jackpot, matching all five numbers but missing both Lucky Stars, to win an impressive €55,988.

The winning numbers in the main draw were 12, 27, 36, 37, 42 and Lucky Stars 6 and 7.

The National Lottery has issued an appeal as neither winner has come forward yet. As part of the appeal, they have revealed exactly where the golden tickets were purchased.

The winning €179k prize was sold at Spar in Carpenterstown, Castleknock in Dublin 15, while the €55k prize was purchased at Twohigs SuperValu on Strand Street in Kanturk, Cork. Both were quick pick tickets sold on the day of the draw.

The National Lottery is urging all players in the Castleknock and Kanturk areas to check their tickets carefully. Spokesperson Emma Monaghan said: “What an incredible night for our Irish players with not one, but two big wins in last night’s EuroMillions draw! Over 43,000 players in Ireland celebrated prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. Among them, one lucky player matched 5 numbers plus the Lucky Star to win €179,667, while another matched 5 numbers to secure €55,988. We’re urging all our players in Castleknock and Kanturk to check their tickets carefully and get ready to claim these fantastic prizes!”

While there was no winner of last night's EuroMillions jackpot, next Tuesday's draw rolls to an estimated €60 million.
