League of Ireland giants Derry City look set to boost their 2025 title hopes by completing a major transfer coup.

According to reports in Scotland, 28-time capped Northern Ireland striker Liam Boyce is on his way out of Hearts - and is set for a move to the Ryan McBride Brandywell outfit.

Boyce is in talks with the Candystripes, reports the Record, and could complete his move ahead of pre-season training next week.

Yet to score for Scottish Premiership side Hearts this season, the 33-year-old has started the last three games - against Ross County, Motherwell and Dundee United.

However, it has been a stop-start season for the Belfast-born striker and he is thought to be eager to secure first-team football on a regular basis.

The former Cliftonville striker has played across the water since 2014 when he moved to Ross County. After a spell with Burton Albion between 2017 and January 2020, he moved to Hearts.

He has scored 36 goals in 120 appearances for the Edinburgh outfit.
