In an article entitled “Corrie star reveals heartbreaking details of 'perfectly fit' husband's death in freak pool accident” published on 12 December 2024 we stated that Mr Julian Spear died “in a freak pool accident”, “at his local David Lloyd health club.”

We have been asked to clarify that the official cause of Mr Spear’s death has not yet been determined. Additionally, as explained further in the article, Mr Spear, in fact, returned home after visiting the gym and collapsed sometime later, at which point he was transferred to the hospital, where he sadly passed away the following day.

We apologise for the confusion and are happy to set the record straight.
