Troy Parrott says his best is still to come at AZ Alkmaar
Ireland international Troy Parrott is leading the line for AZ Alkmaar and has already made an impact in the Eredivisie.
Troy Parrott feels the best is still to come for both him - and AZ Alkmaar.
The Ireland striker moved from Spurs to the Dutch club last summer and has responded with a return of 11 goals from 24 games, 10 of those coming from 17 league matches.
All of which has helped AZ move to fifth in the Eredivisie, which is certainly credible for a club that has just two Dutch championships to their name.

Yet Dubliner Parrott isn’t satisfied.
He said: “I feel like I am always improving, working really hard, trying to better myself all the time and the results are showing on the pitch,” Parrott said in an interview with the club’s TV channel.
"I said when I came here that I wanted to score goals and help the team win football matches and in the last game I did that, I scored the goal but it was a massive team effort, you could see how we defended at the end.
"It was a difficult game on Saturday (a 1-0 victory over Twente). They played well and we didn't play too good but the most important thing is that we got the win, what we came here to do, and we can go into the Christmas break with a good feeling.
"We can't play 10/10 in every game so days like this are really important, we feel we are not playing as well as we can but we are still defending the right way. We keep believing the chance will come for us and the other day luckily I was there to tap it in.”
Parrott added: "We started the season so well, then had a patch where we didn't do so good, now we are doing good again. I would have liked to win every game but in football that's not always possible. What I can say is that it's a long season, there will be ups and downs in the season, as long as we have more ups than downs we will be ok.”
