Pub goers stunned as man sings huge 90s hit on karaoke - then realise who he is
A pub in Glasgow was treated to a surprise performance from a famous singer who belted out his iconic 1990s hit on the karaoke - and the crowd went wild
A pub in Glasgow was buzzing with excitement as a famous 90s musician made a surprise karaoke appearance at their local. The well-loved singer, who had been enjoying a night out in the city after a scheduled gig, decided to treat the patrons of the Horse Shoe Bar by performing an impromptu rendition of his celebrated tune.
The regulars were over the moon, singing along and turning the casual pub night into one for the history books. The spontaneous event quickly hit social media when a fan captured the moment and posted it online, saying: "When in the Horseshoe Bar after 9pm... and they put your song on..." Travis's own Fran Healy, who serenaded the crowd with 'Why Does It Always Rain on Me?', received an outpouring of love from fans and the band themselves, with playful jibes like: "I've heard better versions in there! ! Only joking - thanks for lighting up people's Christmas week."
Travis joined in the fun, replying: "I have too hahahaha." Overflowing with gratitude, customers hailed the lead singer as a "top man," with a longstanding patron expressing immense joy: "What a pleasure, Fran. A definite highlight of my 30+ years as Horse Shoe compere. Thanks so much for being a top man. Hope you and the guys have an amazing gig tonight," reports the Mirror.

Another chimed in with some praise: "Well done mate - you didn't even have to look at the words once."
Following their UK tour, Travis rocked the crowd at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow just this past weekend. Earlier in the year, frontman Fran Healy shared an emotional moment when he got tough nut Liam Gallagher teary-eyed.
Recollecting a nineties encounter on Vernon Kay's BBC Sounds show, Fran remembered being summoned into Oasis's dressing room at the height of their fame. "Liam is like a God at this point. It's peak Oasis. And, he's like 'sit down, there's a guitar, do a song,'" recounted Fran.
Shaking as he grabbed the guitar, Fran played a brand new track titled Luv - and upon finishing it, he saw tears rolling down Liam's cheeks. Meanwhile, Oasis fans are absolutely buzzing for the band's monumental reunion next year, as they're slated to embark on a global tour.
The resounding return sees the Gallagher brothers smashing out their hits in sold-out venues around the UK and Ireland, mending fences after a decade of feuding. The iconic Britpop duo's last joint gig took place in Paris back in 2009, only to end suddenly due to a backstage clash, culminating in Noel declaring his departure from Oasis.
