The former two-weight UFC champion introduced his son to the world of boxing early in his life; taking him to media events in the build-up to his crossover super-fight with Floyd Mayweather when he was just weeks old. Conor Jr is the oldest of McGregor's four children.
"I look forward to the day when I can show him this," McGregor said of his son back in 2017. "I want to show him my career, the crazy things I've done in my life, the crazy journey I've been on and then mostly show him what hard work can achieve. I can show him that if you work hard you can achieve great things.
"He's come into a life of financial freedom, right? His financial freedom is secure, so I don't want him to come in and have a privileged mindset. I want to implement what it took to get this life and really instil hard work and focus and dedication into his mindset so he goes and achieves his own greatness. That's something that is in my thoughts always."
