Amanda Holden has opened up on her feelings towards TV host Cat Deeley as rumours swirl about an impending role on ITV show This Morning
Amanda Holden has revealed her true feelings towards Cat Deeley as rumours circulate about a possible role on This Morning.
The Britain's Got Talent judge has been tipped to replace Cat on the ITV morning show and has now opened up about her thoughts on the presenter.
Speaking on her Heart Breakfast with Jason King and Amanda Holden show as she replaced Jamie Theakston, Amanda Holden addressed the rumours that she is set to take over from Cat. Ashley Roberts brought up the subject and Amanda said: "Oh, well, do you know what? I’m really glad you’ve asked me this.

"First of all, I absolutely love Cat Deeley. She’s super successful, I’ve always admired her, she’s brilliant, and she’s a real laugh. I hate seeing headlines that say, ‘I’m taking over from Cat Deeley’ when I think she’s doing such a good job on This Morning."
She added that she believes Cat is "going nowhere". When she was asked to confirm they are just rumours, Amanda continued: "Complete rumours! I’m already on the biggest morning show in the country, and that is Heart Breakfast, thanks to our lovely listeners. So, I don’t know where it’s come from - it is categorically not true."
Ashley then reaffirmed the point, saying: "Not true, you heard it here!"
Amanda is set to appear once again as a BGT judge. However, while fans await the series, Amanda risked the wrath of her mum on a very different point.
She was faced with a reaction from her unimpressed mother Judith Harrison over the news that she got her first tattoo recently whilst live on air this week. Amanda, 53, showed off two small hearts inked on the inside of her wrist while on air earlier this month. She shared that they represent her daughters Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 12.
Amanda added that her husband Chris Hughes, 52, wasn't keen on the tattoo either, which she got during a holiday in the US with some pals recently.
Recalling a previous conversation with Jason, in which she said he had asked if she'd told Judith, Amanda said she had "completely and utterly forgot". She continued by saying that she went on to share a photo with her mother, who appeared to focus on Amanda's nails in the photo instead.
