Katie Taylor will reportedly pocket €5.8million from her rematch with Amanda Serrano this week, which is understood to be significantly more than she has earned from any of her other fights.

The undisputed super-lightweight world champion puts the belts she holds at 140lbs on the line against the Puerto Rican in Arlington, Texas, although the bout will be fought at a catchweight of 138.

Taylor's bout with Serrano, who she defeated via split-decision at Madison Square Garden in 2022, comes on the Mike Tyson v Jake Paul card at the AT&T Stadium on Friday.

It is expected to be the most watched boxing event of all-time due to Netflix showing it live to its 282million+ subscribers.

Despite Taylor being the defending champion and the one who won the first fight between the pair, Serrano has claimed that she will earn more money from the bout.

Responding to a tweet about Taylor's reported income from the fight recently, Serrano wrote on X: "Mine is bigger lol."

The rematch takes place at a higher weight than two and a half years ago as Serrano steps up to super-lightweight, but Taylor doesn't see the higher weight having much of an impact.

"I think we're probably the same size to be honest," Taylor told the Irish Mirror on a call with members of the media recently. "The fight has actually been made at 138, it's a catchweight, but I think if you look at myself and Serrano we're the same size. I could make 126lbs as well if I tried. I don't think she's looked too well at that weight for the last few fights.

"She looks drained for making that weight so I don't know if it's any advantage or not, but I certainly feel good at this weight, I feel strong at this weight."
