Declan Rice update ahead of Ireland clash as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reveals injury dilemma
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice missed the midweek Champions League clash with Inter Milan.
Declan Rice is increasingly unlikely to feature in England’s upcoming Nations League games against Greece and Ireland.
The Arsenal midfielder missed the midweek Champions League defeat to Inter Milan and is set to sit out Sunday’s short trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta fears that the former Ireland international has suffered a broken toe - and that clarity on his injury is still needed.

Rice was injured in last weekend’s defeat to Newcastle, although he saw out the full 90 minutes.
Despite the injury, he was selected by Lee Carsley for the final two Nations League games - and there are reports that Arteta could yet play him against Chelsea, even with the injury.
Arteta was asked if Rice might feature at Stamford Bridge and replied: “I have to be very vague on that one because there’s no clarity on whether he’s going to be fit for the weekend.”
“(Whether he has a broken toe is) for the doctor, what I can say is that he hasn't trained yet and it is not clear whether he’s going to be available or not to play.”
Even if he does play some part on Sunday, Arsenal are likely to want to use the international window to rest the midfielder.
