Paul Mescal lookalike chaos in Dublin as hundreds enter competition - and winner is his double
Smithfield Square hosted hundreds of Paul Mescal lookalikes on Thursday afternoon.
Clare native Jack Wall O’Reilly was crowned winner of a Paul Mescal lookalike competition.
An unofficial contest took place in Smithfield Square on Thursday at lunchtime and hundreds of Mescal doppelgängers arrived in their best GAA shorts and gold chains.
The competition crowned writer and director Jack as the nearest lookalike to the Kildare native.

Jack said: “I'm a huge fan of Paul. I mean, watching normal people over lockdown.
“I actually, I work in TV as well and I write and direct inside. So, like, I just have a real appreciation.
“He's a really talented guy.”
The Paul Mescal lookalike competition comes after last month when actor Timothée Chalamet made a surprise appearance at a viral look-alike contest for the actor in New York.
The event drew huge crowds with bodyguards surrounding the Dune star as he posed for pictures with other Timothée look-alikes – all dressed as characters from his films.
However, unlike the Timothée contest, it appears Paul did not make an appearance at the event.
But he will be walking the red carpet later for the Irish premiere of Gladiator II.
