What time and TV channel is Shamrock Rovers v TNS on today in the Europa Conference League?
Shamrock Rovers host The New Saints of Wales at Tallaght Stadium, looking to take another step towards the knockouts
Shamrock Rovers are back in action this evening, almost a week after missing out on the Premier Division title. But manager Stephen Bradley insists his players are in good form and focused on the challenge at hand.
The Hoops are bidding to become the first Irish club to reach the knockout stages of a major European competition. And they have made a solid start with four points from two games after drawing 1-1 at home against APOEL and then winning 4-1 away to Larne in Belfast.
There is no actual magic number for Rovers to reach to progress into those February knockouts, but seven or eight points should be good enough. So victory over Welsh outfit The New Saints would be a big stepping stone towards a landmark moment in Irish club football.

Team News
Shamrock Rovers are without injured pair Danny Mandroiu and Sean Kavanagh while Sean Hoare is also a doubt. Rory Gaffney is a long-term absentee and won’t play again until pre-season, while Richie Towell is out of favour after a disciplinary matter and won’t feature in any of Rovers’ four remaining European games. The New Saints - who shocked Bohs by knocking them out of the Champions League back in 2010 - are at full strength with no injury or suspension concerns. TNS lost 2-0 away to Italian giants Fiorentina in their opening game of this Europa Conference League phase, and followed up with a 2-0 home win over Astana of Kazakhstan.
What They Say
Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley: “TNS have a really clear identity and you can see they are really well coached. They are a possession-based team with lots of really good, technical players. They also have a lot of experience within the team who have been around the leagues in England and you can see that in how they play. We’re under no illusion that it’s a difficult game against a good team.”
The New Saints manager Craig Harrison: "We should be enjoying this level, not coming in with any trepidation. If Rovers win they are near enough through, and if we win we’re a point or two away. I think eight points will be enough, or seven if you have a good goal difference.”
