Dana White delivered a speech alongside Donald Trump after the businessman declared victory in the US presidential election.

The 78-year-old beat Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the US presidential election on Tuesday, winning a number of key swing states as well as the popular vote.

He will take over from Joe Biden as the 47th US president on January 20, marking his second stint in the White House after his 2016 win.

"Nobody deserves this more than him, and nobody deserves this more than his family does," said White. "This is what happens when the machine comes after you. What you've seen over the last several years, this is what it looks like. He keeps going forward, he doesn't quit. He's the most resilient, hard-working man I've ever met in your life. His family are incredible people. This is karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves this, they deserve it as a family."

White went on to thank a number of people, adding: "I want to thank some people real quickly. I want to thank the Nelk boys, Adin Ross, Theo Von, and the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan. Thank you America, have a good night."

Trump declared he had won a “magnificent victory for the American people” once it was clear he was on track to return to the White House as 47th president of the United States early on Wednesday.

That victory was later confirmed as a win in Wisconsin tipped him over the 270 electoral votes needed to defeat Ms Harris.

Mr Trump told supporters that “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate”.

He said that he would not let his backers down and that it is “time to put the divisions of the past four years behind us”.

Addressing a campaign party in Florida in the early hours of Wednesday, Mr Trump pledged to “fight” for “every citizen” and promised the “golden age of America”.

He added: “This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again.”
