Prince's sister Tyka Nelson dies as son breaks sad news in emotional statement
Eight years after Prince's death, his sister Tyka Nelson has passed away as her son and cousin have both confirmed the news in an emotional statement to the press and social media.
Tyka Nelson, who was known as Prince's sister, has passed away and her son confirmed the sad news.
President Nelson announced the death of his mother Tyka this Monday, November 4, and a post on Facebook from a user called Charles "Chazz" Smith added: "Our family is very saddened to share the news of my cousin Tyka Evene Nelson who passed away this morning."
Prince's sister Tyka also worked as a singer and released four albums between 1988 and 2011. She was due to take her leave from stage and deliver her retirement and farewell concert last June, at the Dakota in New York, but fell ill, forcing the performance to go on without her.
