How Kate Middleton and Pippa got 'Sizzler Sisters' nickname after William breakup
When Prince William pressed pause on his relationship with Kate in 2007, the future Queen of England hit London's swankiest clubs with her sister, Pippa
Kate Middleton and her sister, Pippa, were dubbed the 'Sizzler Sisters' when the future Queen of England split up with Prince William.
The Royal couple went their separate ways in 2007, when Wills didn't feel ready to commit and reportedly ended his relationship with Kate over the phone.
Thankfully, it all worked out for the pair. However, while Kate was getting used to single life again, she was supported by her little sister, Pippa, who was papped hitting the town in several society magazines with her sibling.

As photographs of Miss Middleton filled the newspapers, Tatler magazine dubbed Kate and Pippa the 'Sizzler Sisters' - making it difficult for William to ignore
Claiming Kate's transformation was nothing short of startling, Robert Jobson said in his recent biography of Kate: "Gone were the frumpy tweeds as she stepped out in a slinky off-the-shoulder top and silky skirt, with a bare midriff and caramel tan."
After a much-needed break in Dublin with her mother, from the media scrutiny, Kate started going out. She was often seen dancing all night with friends. Her younger sister, Pippa, moved in with her in Chelsea and joined Catherine at parties and events.
"Catherine accepted a slew of invitations and, in public at least, appeared more vibrant and sociable than she had been for some months," Jobson writes.
It was reported at the time how Kate "stepped out" with Pippa, "strolling hand in hand in the full glare of a dozen paparazzi flashlights."
However, Kate and William's breakup didn't last long and their reunion was publicly confirmed when Kate attended the Concert for Diana, organised by William and Prince Harry in honour of the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, in July 2007.
Three years later and the future King of England got down on one knee during a romantic getaway the two took to Kenya, where they stayed in a cabin hut on a wildlife reserve about 10,500 feet above sea level.
Speaking about the split during their 2010 engagement interview, William reflected on his and Kate’s brief time apart, saying: "We were both very young, it was at university, and we were both sort of defining ourselves as such and being different characters. It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up."
Kate added: "I at the time wasn’t very happy about it, but actually it made me a stronger person. You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn’t realised. I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you’re younger, and I really valued that time for me, as well."
