Inside GAA celebrations that caused pubs to run out of drink
Doon GAA ran the pubs dry after a dramatic Limerick Senior Hurling Championship triumph last weekend.
Limerick star Darragh O'Donovan has given his social media followers a glimpse of the raucous celebrations that his Doon GAA teammates have been partaking in since winning the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship last weekend.
O'Donovan captained Doon to victory over Na Piarsaigh last Sunday, lifting the John Daly Cup after a narrow one-point win over their great rivals.
Speaking to Off the Ball after the game, O'Donovan revealed that he had no plans to be sober anytime before Friday and was hell-bent on enjoying the celebrations as much as possible.

Taking to social media on Monday, O'Donovan posted a video of the amazing Doon celebrations along with the caption "Monday Club."
Earlier that day, O'Donovan had revealed on radio that the pubs in town ran out of drink at 10.30pm in the evening, leaving the Doon lads scrambling to keep the party going.
“They ran out of drink in the pubs last night in Doon!... and that was at about half ten!” O'Donovan told Off the Ball.
"Obviously I couldn't go back to Cork last night. I'm staying here with my Nana and Grandad as I would if we were training or whatnot.
"I says to my nana 'we're going up to Cullen' that's where Nicky English lives just up the road from us, I said I was going up to the pub in Cullen and she says 'You're not going anywhere, you've had too much drink!"
"She had a cup of tea waiting for me this morning!"
On the celebrations as a whole, O'Donovan said: "Look, the celebrations have been unreal. I'm just soaking it in more so than anything, we're just really soaking it in.
"And this is an amazing place. If anyone ever wants a good night out, just come to Doon one day."
The celebrations will have to be put on hold however, as Doon will be in action when they take on Ballygunner in the Munster Championship on Sunday.
