This Morning favourite finally

A This Morning favourite has finally revealed his injuries after arriving to work in a wheelchair.

Dr Scott Miller, who is known for appearing in animal segments of the daytime show, had a medical accident when travelling to work back in August. He was rushed to hospital after hurting his back and stayed in for a few days while he recovered.

He has now opened up about how he sustained the injury and how he has been trying to get better. The vet revealed that he was on his way to the This Morning studio when he hurt his back while he reached for some sunglasses.

Speaking to The Sun, Dr Scott said: "I had two slipped discs. I actually went into This Morning and I reached to get some sunglasses, very, very macho, into the back of the car. And then I literally took five steps and I couldn't get past the front door, really. Had to get rolled on in a wheelchair onto the set to do my item because I said that I definitely wanted to do it.

"But by the time I got home, I couldn't stand. I couldn't stand or sit. So I had to crawl in and out of my car and then in the end it just was so bad. I went to A&E and then was admitted to hospital for five days. And, yeah, so two MRIs later and lots of medication. Thankfully, I didn't need surgery. Now it's sort of, you know, exercise and to sort of get myself right. But, yeah, it was a big wake up call."

Scott took to his Instagram page in August when he sustained the back injury. Explaining that he was in A&E. he said: "I'm having a bit of a tough time. I've really injured my back and can't stand up at the moment

"Currently I'm in a lot of pain and have spent the night in A&E. The staff have been amazing, so attentive and kind as I received pain medication, examinations and soon an MRI for the worst back pain I've ever experienced in my life. This is not a pity party or a sympathy request, rather a grateful post for the kindness and humanity I’ve witnessed and experienced since my admission to hospital."

He added: "After watching the 10 O'clock news from my hospital bed last night it pained me (even more than my current state!) to see all the rioting going on at the moment here in the UK. And now to my MRI. Thanks to @nhsengland and all the amazing staff."
