Croke Park seven-figure cash bonanza for Leinster as URC hail record breaking clash with Munster
The redevelopment of the RDS Arena pushed Leinster Rugby to make a choice over moving their URC round four game against Munster to Croke Park and it has spectacularly paid off
Croke Park will play host to a new record URC attendance on Saturday evening - with Leinster ready to cash in to the tune of €1.7m.
The Blues' decision to host Munster in the fourth round of the URC was an inspired one, with the province hitting the jackpot as the game heads towards a sell-out 82,300 crowd.
When the provinces last met on Jones's Road at GAA HQ they drew a then world record club fixture attendance of 82,208 for their 2009 Heineken Cup semi-final that was won by Leinster.
