'Husband wants me to get plastic surgery to 'fix' my saggy body after having kids'
A woman is seeking advice after her husband asked her to get plastic surgery to 'fix' her body after she gave birth to his three children - as she admits she doesn't know what to do
A woman has been left feeling 'less than' after her husband asked her to get plastic surgery to 'fix' her post-pregnancy body. She explained how she has given birth to three children - and this has taken a toll on her body, specifically on her belly button.
On Reddit, the 38-year-old mum asked: "My husband, 44, asked if I would get plastic surgery to 'fix' how my belly button looks after having three kids? How do I respond?" She went on to explain how she has always been in good shape and is happy with how she looks - but her husband believes she needs 'fixing'.
She added: " I understand what he's saying - but that's just how my body is going to look now that I've had kids. I work out, and have a healthy body fat percent, and no amount of diet or exercise is going to take away the fact that I've had 3 pregnancies.
He brought it up again with friends at dinner last night and I felt incredibly embarrassed. I respect people who get plastic surgery because it makes them feel better - but this would be something I purely did for him and honestly, I'm not even sure if it's possible."

Upset by his request, she wants him to know just how much his words hurt her. Responding to her post, one user said: "Honestly I think all that you should need to say is 'Why did you feel that it was okay to imply my body is broken in front of our friends?' I very much doubt that he has no idea that what he said was incredibly cruel.
Another user added: "He brought this up in public in front of others? Oh my god if it was me there would be hell to pay for that. So since you keep telling him No, he decides to raise the stakes by humiliating you in front of friends?"
A third user said: "Your husband is very disrespectful. You bore him three children and he has the nerve to fixate on how your belly button looks? And he has the audacity to talk about it and embarrass you in front of others?
"This is one of those times when you need to proceed with caution. Behaviour like this, unchecked, escalates. It’s good that you are happy and accepting of your own body. Everyone else needs to leave it alone and be happy for you."
