Seamus Coleman won’t feature in Everton’s Premier League clash against Newcastle tomorrow, but Toffees boss Sean Dyche is optimistic that he will be back sooner rather than later.

Coleman has missed out on an Ireland call for this month’s Nations League games away to Finland and Greece as he continues his recovery from a calf injury.

The Boys in Green skipper sustained the knock during last month’s defeat to England, when Harry Maguire accidentally kicked him in the leg as they challenged for a corner.

However, Dyche is hopeful that the full-back could return in time for Everton’s visit to Ipswich Town on October 19, a game that takes place after the international break.

Everton are hoping to build on their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace when they take on Newcastle.

Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja are also out for the Toffees and Dyche said: “(Chermiti and Broja) are a bit longer, Coleman is a bit longer as well but not too much longer – we're hopeful over the international break that he gets closer.”
