Conor McGregor enjoyed a kickabout with Declan Rice after Arsenal’s 2-0 home win over PSG last night in the UEFA Champions League.

McGregor was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium in north London on Tuesday evening and after the game was over, the UFC superstar made his way down onto the pitch.

The Irishman managed to get his hands on a ball, and after doing a few dribbles, he started passing the ball back and forward with Declan Rice.

Dressed in matching pink shorts and shirt, McGregor exchanges a couple of passes with Rice before meandering off on another solo run.

McGregor’s antics likely won’t have endeared himself to Irish soccer fans, who haven’t forgotten that Rice featured three times for the Republic of Ireland before changing his international allegiance to England in 2019.

Upon returning to the Aviva Stadium last month, Rice was showered with boos by unhappy Irish fans. However, Rice and teammate Jack Grealish had the last laugh as they both scored in a 2-0 Nations League win for England.

McGregor’s appearance at the Emirates is noteworthy as the Dubliner, who is a known soccer fan, has seemingly hinted in the past that he has an affinity towards Manchester United, and has also suggested that he would be interested in purchasing the club should the opportunity arise.

Away from the football field, McGregor is due to return to the UFC in 2025, bringing an end to a three and a half year absence that began when he broke his leg in defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

"It will be 2025," said McGregor when asked when he would return to fighting at AJ v Dubois, "We will see. My opponent that I had scheduled... it is what it is.

"I take it on board and rock on. My job is to go to the gym and be in shape. Whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100 per cent ready. I must get two fights in 2025. It's the promised land. Who knows (who the next opponent will be). It does not matter. Whoever, let's see. I like it to be Chandler. I wish him well and see where it goes."
