Singer Dermot Kennedy has teased new music is on the way as he reveals he has taken back control of his social media and mailing lists.

The Giants hitmaker said he took back control of his “fan data”, which he previously had given to labels, promoters and “basically everyone but me”.

Writing on social media, he said: “What's up guys, so as I move forward and get closer to new music and new shows and everything, I want to do this in a different way. I've recently taken control of all my fan data, which was previously owned by labels, promoters, and basically everyone but me, which is crazy.

“But now I have it, and this makes it so much easier for me to connect with you guys. To know where to come and play shows, to know what you guys would like in terms of merch, releases, everything. You will feel the difference I promise.

“You've supported me for a long time now, and I want to create a career and fanbase where you guys feel appreciated and listened to.
