Amanda Balionis, the CBS Sports presenter, has shared her joy at returning to her favourite ritual after transitioning from golf to NFL coverage this summer.

The broadcaster, who was a familiar face in golf coverage, bid an emotional goodbye to the sport after the conclusion of all four majors this year and has now resumed her role within the NFL coverage.

Balionis had the opportunity to enjoy the week two action from the Bank of America Stadium where the Carolina Panthers hosted the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Unfortunately for the home team, the Panthers were defeated 3-26 by the Chargers, with their first score not coming until the third quarter when they were already trailing 20-0 at half-time.

She took to Instagram to share a snapshot of herself inside the production truck with a coffee in hand. The truck, which is the nerve centre of the broadcasting operation, is equipped with multiple screens displaying various camera angles from both inside the stadium and the live feed.

In the photo, Balionis can be seen sitting in front of a laptop that seems to display a potential weather forecast on a map, partially covered by a couple of blank sheets of paper.

The broadcasting truck was the lifeline of the live coverage, fitted with full sound control and streaming capabilities, orchestrating the whole show as multiple directors managed the scenes from within. Balionis shared her excitement, posting a message saying: "One of my favorite rituals is back! Morning coffee in the truck," gearing up for the eagerly anticipated Panthers versus Chargers game.

Amanda Balionis made quite the announcement about her comeback to the NFL sidelines before week two's action, taking to social media to share: "Time to get back at it! Week 2 Chargers at Panthers .. see you Sunday! " Although fans were anticipating her appearance during the season opener, she hadn't covered any games the previous week.

Despite her belated start to the season, Balionis was active on Instagram, sharing a snapshot where she interviewed Chargers' J. K. Dobbins and the Panthers' Adam Thielen. Dobbins had a particularly stellar game, rushing for 131 yards - literally running circles around his fellow Chargers, leaving Gus Edwards' contribution in the dust.

Starting off the season on a rocky road, the Panthers faced their second defeat after the New Orleans Saints dominated them with a harrowing 47-10 loss in the first week. On the flip side, the Chargers celebrated their undefeated streak, claiming a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders with a scoreline of 22-10 just the previous weekend.

Balionis, having built an illustrious career covering the NFL and collegiate football for CBS, has close connections to the sport, extending into her personal life with her marriage to former quarterback Bryn Renner, although it seems that the couple may have parted ways since.
