How to watch Irish Open final round on TV as Rory McIlroy goes for glory
Rory McIlroy holds a slender one-shot lead ahead of Italian Matteo Manassero.
The Irish Open is set up for an intriguing final round as home favourite Rory McIlroy looks to take home the title less than an hour from his childhood home.
Holywood-born McIlroy put on a show in the third round during testing conditions to produce a stunning two-under-par round.
It has been a rollercoaster year for the four-time major winner after suffering heartbreaks at the US Open and Olympic Games. However, a home victory would surely be the highlight of 2024 if McIlroy does seal victory.
But it will be far from a straightforward path to victory for McIlroy with Italian Matteo Manassero breathing down his neck just one shot behind at five-under-par.
And plenty more will be looking to spoil the party with Bob MacIntyre, Jordan Smith, Erik Van Rooyen, and Rasmus Hojgaard all on three-under-par.
Seamus Power is the next best of the Irish at one-over par while Shane Lowry is two over and amateur Sean Keeling 12-over-par.
McIlroy tees off with Manassero at 1.05 pm with tee times scheduled at 10-minute intervals.
The final round will be broadcast on RTE Two from 12.30 PM and can be broadcast on the RTE Player.
Sky Sports Xtra will also broadcast the final round live.
