Republic of Ireland star Louise Quinn has announced that she and her partner Eilish O'Gara are expecting their first child together.

Posing together for a selfie, the loved-up couple show off the sonogram for their bundle of joy, who is expected to join Louise and Eilish in March 2025.

Captioning the post, Quinn wrote: "We cannot wait to welcome our lovely little human into our beautiful family in March 2025.

"(Lenny the cat was not playing ball for the family picture). Just call @eog91 (Eilish) Super Woman from now on please and thanks."

Soon after Quinn made the news official on social media, friends and teammates alike flooded the comments section with messages of congratulations.

"Momma Lou Lou," wrote Ireland skipper Katie McCabe, while fellow Ireland teammates Ruesha Littlejohn commented "Congrats guys, Lenny little bit jealous that’s all."

Jamie Finn wrote: "Congrats to you both," while Ireland striker Kyra Carusa kept it simple with a straightforward "CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

Quinn and O'Gara's baby will become the latest bundle of joy to come into the lives of members of the Irish squad.

They'll be hoping their child has the same effect that baby Rosie had on the Irish team and Mum Julie Ann Russell - who scored a vital goal in Ireland's 2-1 loss to England in July before starring in the 3-1 over France four days later - and she did all this while Rosie was in camp!
