A man has been hailed for his 'epic revenge' on a neighbour whose car-parking antics make leaving home a nightmare.

He vented about his "entitled neighbour", who has a fleet of six cars but only parks one in his driveway, leaving the others to clutter the street.

Posting on Reddit, he shared his frustration: "He only parks his daily driver on the driveway, which he washes and polishes every weekend, and the rest are in front of other people's houses. My lawn parallels his driveway and of course, I have sprinklers along the edge of my lawn."

He understands that parking on the road is legal, but can't help feeling his neighbour is being thoughtless. Continuing his tale, he wrote: "Recently I had wondered why my lawn is not doing well and noticed that he had run over three of my sprinkler heads. I fixed them, grumbled about it but moved on.

"Just a week on and I find two more heads busted and this time a pipe is broken too. You can spot his tyre tracks across my lawn from his drive." Fed up, he hatched a plot and upgraded his sprinklers to do a full 360 instead of just a half-circle spray.

Revealing his sneaky scheme, he said: "He may still run them over, but at least at 11pm every night, his passenger side will get blasted for seven minutes. We have extremely hard water - so the level of spots on his car will take lots of time to sort out."

While most people found the man's retaliation amusing, others chipped in with their own suggestions for tackling the troublesome neighbour. One user quipped: "I'd toss some birdseed on his car at night." Another suggested a more solid approach: "Put out large boulders on the property line."

Meanwhile, a third chimed in with a personal account, writing: "My dad had the same issue with his neighbour so he put one single metal stake into the corner of the patch where the neighbour swings onto the grass with his car. Just a few inches sticking up. Stopped the problem after the neighbour hit it just once. My dad is 80 and has zero f**** left to give."
