Joe Brolly slams Oasis as he recalls telling Gallagher brother 'go f*** yourself' on RTE Late Late Show
It's fair to say Joe Brolly will not be going to see Oasis next summer
Joe Brolly says Oasis "mean nothing" to him and that he knows "nothing" about their music, which he described as "awful".
The All-Ireland winner was reflecting on a run-in he had with one of the Gallagher brothers on the Late Late Show a number of years ago when he asked for an autograph for his daughter.
Brolly joked that he should have given the brother, who he can't remember which one it was, "a slap" before adding "except I'm not violent."

He said on his Free State podcast: "I would not go out into the back garden (to see them), those two wee small boys, who have only got one song and they repeated the same song over and over and over. Banal lyrics.
He continued: "Our Maeve said to us one time, I was on the Late Late Show and Pat Shortt was on. He's great fun. He kept doing "that's right" to me, "that's right", I couldn't stop laughing. Anyway, she said 'oh would you get his autograph'. I don't know which of the wee ones was on. He was a wee tiny person.
"Anyway, he was on first and he came out and I said 'oh how you doing, my daughter would love your autograph'. I was with Pat Shortt and he didn't even dane to speak to me, so great a person that he is, and his security says 'sorry mate you have to write in for permission to get autographs.
"And I says 'go and f*** yourself you wee s**** and calling yourself Irish and calling yourself from Mayo, what the hell is wrong with you?"
He added: "You call yourself Irish. Come up to Mayo and behave like that and see how long you get on. You know the wee runners from RTE, they were all like 'Jesus Christ of almighty this is going to kick off'.
"Pat Shortt and me had a good laugh about it anyway. I says 'aye run'.
"But anyway, the idea that you would, that anybody would be interested in that.... I'll tell you what it is, it's like a cult thing. People are so easily manipulated."
Oasis will play at least two concerts at Croke Park as part of their reunion tour next August, with tickets selling out quickly after going on sale last Saturday.
