Paris is ready to host the Paralympics just weeks after the Olympic Games concluded with a spectacular opening ceremony planned.

Over 4,000 athletes are expected to grace the famous Champs-Alysees as the city officially opens the games.

The opening ceremony has been choreographed by Sweden's Alexander Ekman and promises to be a spectacle.

Here is everything you need to know about the Paralympics opening ceremony.

Where is it on?

The Opening Ceremony will take place at the Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris.

What time does it all kick off?

Festivities will kick start at 7 pm Irish time.

What TV channel is it on and can I stream it?

RTE Two will have live coverage of the Paralympics Opening Ceremony from 6.30 pm with coverage running until 10.15 pm. It can be streamed on the RTE Player.

Who are Ireland's flagbearers?

Table Tennis star Colin Judge and Sprinter Orla Comerford will carry the flag for Ireland.
