Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott have been slammed by fans who branded them 'insensitive' for sharing a romantic snap days after Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury's split
Love Island's Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott have sparked a bit of a social media storm with their latest post.
Hot on the heels of fellow Islanders Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury's break-up announcement, the loved-up duo shared a dreamy photo by the sea, featuring Luke sweeping Lucie off her feet, literally, captioned "Forever".
It's left some followers branding them 'insensitive'. One critical comment gaining traction with over 100,000 likes reads: "I love you guys but don't you think that sounds a bit petty and insensitive right now?" While another user echoed the sentiment.
Yet, many fans rushed to their defence, arguing: "How is this a dig at their love island friends? Molly and Tommy breaking up has nothing to do with them. I hope these two continue sharing their happiness with the world."

Another said: "Beautiful photo of a beautiful couple. And correct me if I'm wrong, how is this photo having any bearing on the sad news about Tommy and Molly. If they'd never posted loved up photos, I'd get it, but they're always putting up loving photos."
Lucie, who was in season 5 of Love Island with Tommy, initially went on a date with him before Molly-Mae entered the villa and formed a bond with him. Engaged since December 2021, Lucie and Luke have kept fans on their toes about their wedding plans, with one fan mistaking their recent romantic post for a wedding photo, commenting: "Awwh I first thought this was a wedding pic! Gorgeous couple."
Luke proposed to his girlfriend during a dreamy holiday in Finland, and he couldn't wait to share the joyous news with his followers. On his Instagram, he gushed: "Mrs Mabbott to be", adding a ring and heart emoji for good measure. "The northern lights made an appearance for the perfect moment to pop the question. A night we will never forget.."
Tommy and Molly-Mae called it quits on their relationship last week, having got engaged just last year. Molly-Mae broke the news to her fans, expressing her disbelief: "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.
"After five years together I never thought our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
"I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks, please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x."
