Ruth Langsford looked unrecognisable as she flaunted a youthful look following her marriage split from Eamon Holmes and the pair announced they were going their separate ways
Ruth Langsford was barely recognisable after undergoing a complete hair and makeup transformation.
The 61-year-old decided to embrace a youthful look as she stepped out for a sunny afternoon in Surrey on Saturday, following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes. Earlier this week, the ITV presenter revealed to her followers that she had decided to change things up and opt for longer locks.
Taking to social media, Ruth informed fans that she had taken their advice and wanted to experiment with adding a few extra inches to her hair extensions. She shared a video of the process, writing in the caption: "Extensions time again! @leobancroft salon. Decided to keep them a bit longer this time (lots of you told me to last time! ) Fitted by the lovely Lauren (you can also book Kristen) cut and styled by Leo."

"I'm not good at doing this 'bendy wave' stuff so not sure if I'll keep them this length but going to give it a whirl! Thanks @leobancroft great to catch up! " she added. In an update, she took to her Instagram Stories and admitted that she had tried out the style. The Loose Women star was all smiles as she looked at the camera while taking a mirror selfie. "Look @leobancroft ... I did the Bendy Wave," she proudly wrote, reports the Express.
Posing in her dressing room, Ruth wore a striking black and white long-sleeved blouse, complemented by heavy black eye makeup. The beloved TV star announced back in May that she had separated from GB News host Eamon Holmes, bringing their 14-year marriage to an end.
While the Belfast native's new romance with Katie Alexander, 42, has been made public, Ruth seemingly isn't looking to move on just yet. Her commitment shines through as she continues to wear her diamond wedding band. Stepping out after stopping by a prestigious hair salon, Ruth was seen sporting her significant sparkler.
The new look didn't go unnoticed as one fan gushed: "10 years younger instantly! Love it." Another chimed in: "Stunning Ruth! You look radiant and younger! " Meanwhile, compliments kept coming: "Love it Ruth, you look fabulous." Another expressed: "Arrrr Ruth you look beautiful and it makes you look younger! Really suits you that cut!"
Ruth has been spending more time on social media now she's single. The presenter previously shared a video clip to her social media as she enjoyed a leisurely stroll with her dog Maggie. Ruth and Eamonn called it a day in May, sending shockwaves through the showbiz industry. It's claimed that despite moving on with his younger partner, Eamonn is being "deliberately stubborn". Eamonn was said to be "blindsided" after the news of their split broke, with sources claiming he wasn't aware Ruth was going to pull the plug so publicly.
