Eamonn Holmes 'treats girlfriend to very lavish present' after shock Ruth Langsford split

Eamonn Holmes has splashed the cash on an incredible gift for his rumoured girlfriend, according to reports.
The dad-of-four, 64, is said to be dating Katie Alexander, 42, after his shock split from wife, Ruth Langsford, also 64, was revealed in May. Eamonn has kept quiet about his current relationship status, however it's now been reported he's bought Katie a £70,000 Mercedes so she can 'slip in and out of his home undetected'.
A source close to the pair claims Katie wants to go public with their relationship, but Eamonn wants to keep things 'under wraps' for now. They said: "Katie wants the world to see they're a couple but Eamonn is keeping things low-key at the moment."

The insider continued: "He's bought her a Mercedes so she can come and go to his new place without attracting attention, but it's pretty hot in there because he has no air-con so she'd love to go out and enjoy dates in public. Eamonn is excited about their relationship but he wants to remain respectful by not going public yet," reports MailOnline.
Last week, Eamonn was seen out with Katie, who reportedly used to date a coach driver 40 years her senior. The GB News host and mum-of-one have been spotted together in recent weeks after developing a friendship during his tough year. However, the pair have grown closer in recent months following Eamonn's split from his estranged wife, with her son now reportedly confirming that they are together for the first time.
Katie's ex Michael Devine - who says he met the relationship counsellor when she was 19 and he 59 - has claimed that their 22-year-old son Ben has told him that Katie is now dating the Northern Irishman.
However, fans are confused because the former This Morning star continues to wear his wedding ring - as does Ruth. Eamonn was said to be "blindsided" after the news about his split with Ruth broke, with sources saying he had no idea Ruth was going to pull the plug so publicly.
The Loose Women star stunned fans recently when she took a selfie in a lift, still sporting her wedding ring. However, Eamonn is also still wearing his band, prompting one source to suggest the dad-of-four is 'acting out of defiance'.
Claiming the presenter wants to make it clear he didn't choose to end his marriage, a source told Bella magazine: "Eamonn doesn't want to look like he's the one to blame for the end of their marriage, so he doesn't want to be the one to take the ring off first." They continued: "He's saying 'I didn't end this marriage, so why should I take my ring off?' It's a bit of stubbornness from his side."
