After losing an impressive 3st in just 12 weeks, a woman is inspiring others on their weight loss journey to 'not give up'. Lauren Hamilton once tipped the scales at 17st and 2lbs but managed to slim down to 13st and 13lbs in three months.

She's been actively sharing her progress on TikTok, revealing that she further reduced her weight to 13st in July. By August 5, she weighed in at 12st and 12lbs.

Since embarking on her health and fitness endeavours in January, Lauren has said goodbye to over four stone. She credits healthy eating, stepping up her exercise regime - aiming for a significant number of daily steps - and sticking to her routine for her newfound svelte figure.

Lauren sets herself a goal of 20,000 steps on active days and still achieves a solid 10,000 even on her 'lazy' days. She also shared insights into her diet through a TikTok video, detailing meals that have aided her weight loss.

Her dinner typically includes grilled veggies like peppers, parsnips, sweetcorn, and carrots served with rice, prawns, and a rocket salad. Breakfast options range from eggs with smoked salmon to porridge topped with bananas and peanut butter, reports Wales Online.

At lunchtime, Lauren opts for a nutritious toasted, seeded bagel with cottage cheese, salad, an omelette. She keeps her snacking wholesome with treats such as green olives, Babybel cheeses, apple slices, and a chocolate orange fibre bar.

Before switching up her lifestyle, Lauren felt the need to "cover up" due to difficulty finding clothes that fit comfortably. She said: "Everything I liked, didn't look right."

She also said she got 'fed up' taking pictures with your daughter because of her weight. But now, she says: "I love taking pictures with her."

After dropping an impressive 4st, Lauren has noticed some unexpected changes, revealing: "I have boned in places I didn't know I had." She's also feeling a boost in self-assurance, saying she is "starting to gain confidence" to rock figure-hugging outfits when hitting the town.

In another clip, responding to the flood of inquiries about her slim-down success, Lauren shared her straightforward strategy. "Literally diet change and exercise, that's all there is to it."

She further advised: "My tips would be to change your diet, make sure you're in a calorie deficit and exercise if you can, but you can lose weight without going to the gym. You don't have to deprive yourself, but weight loss is mostly just your diet."
