Katie Price appeared "confused" as she faced the full force of the law after being arrested at Heathrow Airport, according to a body language expert.

The former glamour model appeared in court today after jetting off to Turkey hours before her previously scheduled hearing over her £760,000 bankruptcy. The mum-of-five was caught by cops last night and was today taken to the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Now Judi James has exclusively analysed images of Katie arriving, with the expert saying she looked "vulnerable". She explained: "Cameras and press interest are the lifeblood for Katie who primarily seeks out headlines and attention like a vampire seeks out blood."

She explained: "So this moment in her life could be all about maximising press interest although her appearance suggests some elements of confusion as she makes her way into court. The flesh-coloured outfit appears to be a nod to the Kardashian lifestyle although this is also a court appearance that might not feature in the lifestyle of any of Kim’s family.

"The black, protective headgear looks like an attempt to elicit sympathy in the wake of her surgery although the way she has the arms of her shades resting outside her black head gear looks bizarre. Katie’s head is raised and there is a part smile on her face, suggesting she is still basking in the press interest here. Katie is known for her resilience and her strength in the face of adversity and that seems to be her body language stance here, despite the fact that much of her court problems might be described as self-inflicted.

"She's back in the headlines again and that seems to bring her a sense of achievement although the reality of her situation might render her rather more vulnerable once it hits home," the body language expert concluded in a chat with the Mirror this afternoon.

Katie Price faced a blow in court when the High Court judge dismissed her claim of being charged an exorbitant £50,000 for legal advice amidst her bankruptcy struggles. The 46-year-old implored the judge to let her appear at her next hearing via video link.

However, she was instructed to file a formal application and was told by Judge Schaffer that hiring a solicitor should only set her back around £500, not the £50,000 she cited. Sporting a head bandage and shades after her sixth cosmetic surgery, Katie expressed to the judge: "I find it difficult in court. I have been assessed by another high court."

She was briefed on how to request a remote appearance, but she lamented: "Now with the legal advice, I tried to get legal advice but I've been charged £50,000 upfront. Now being in bankruptcy at the moment, the bankruptcy is taking 40 per cent. I'm finding it difficult to do that. I can't get even legal aid because I earn." It was then that Judge Schaffer sharply retorted: "This is a discreet application. It doesn't take Einstein to do it."

Her court visit occurred shortly after her arrest post-Turkey trip, which she claimed was business-related. During the virtual hearing from a nearby location, Katie was directed to comply with two court-ordered mandates. She was ordered by a judge to show up at the Rolls Building on August 27 and to produce documents upon request.

She was told in no uncertain terms: "There are going to be two forms of undertakings, the first is you have to attend your public examination before the court when it is listed. You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no holidays, no going abroad, you have to attend that date." She was also cautioned that failure to appear could result in her being arrested again. Eager to confirm her understanding, she responded: "I will move my diary for it."

Judge Schaffer then lifted the arrest warrant that had been issued on July 30 after she did not show up for a hearing. Last night, images surfaced showing Katie being detained by police and led into a van upon her arrival in the UK with her son Harvey and partner JJ Slater. After being held in custody pending her court date, she was released on bail in the early hours by an emergency magistrate. The Sun reports that she was let go on health grounds as she was recuperating from her sixth facelift, which took place just days earlier.
