Katie Price arrives at court hours after dramatic arrest upon return from Turkey holiday
Former glamour model Katie Price appeared in court to face her bankruptcy hearing just hours after being arrested upon her return to the UK from Turkey
Katie Price has arrived at court ready to face her bankruptcy hearing following her dramatic arrest at Heathrow.
The bankrupt star wore a supportive head mask and a pair of dark shades to conceal her scars and bruises after recently going under the knife for more cosmetic surgery.
The former glamour model, 46, was detained by police when she landed back in the UK on Thursday night following a trip to Turkey for cosmetic work. She headed on a sunny getaway with boyfriend JJ Slater and son Harvey, 22, for a £10,000 facelift despite a warrant for her arrest being issued.
Katie was seen in the back of a police van on Thursday evening after officers greeted her at the gate in Heathrow. The Met Police said the star's arrest took place at 7.45pm and that she was remanded into custody at a west London police station before appearing in court on Friday. A statement by the Metropolitan Police read: "A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court.

"She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, 9 August."
Katie was aware there was awarrant out for her arrestaftershe failed to show up to a bankruptcy hearing last month. The TV personality was due to give evidence about her finances before a specialist bankruptcy court in London. Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and for asecond time in March this year.
Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Katie had received "very clear warnings" that she must attend the hearing on July 30. Katie was due to face questions about her finances in the specialist bankruptcy court in London from barristers representing the trustee of her two bankruptcies.
A judge at a previous hearing said the former glamour model risked arrest if she did not attend further court dates, adding that evidence must be provided if she could not appear. Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said that Katie had "failed to attend today's hearing" and had provided no explanation for her absence.

She said: "It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price's arrest. She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing." She continued: "The reason for her absence today is irrelevant." Judge Burton said that an arrest warrant was not issued "lightly" but that Katie had offered only "piecemeal co-operation" and failed to provide the "most basic information" in relation to her bankruptcies.
Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year. At a hearing in February, she was ordered to pay 40 per cent of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years, in relation to her first bankruptcy. She was then declared bankrupt for a second time in March due to an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000 owed to HM Revenue & Customs.
Addressing the situation, Katie said: "Whilst I'm fully aware of the severity of my current personal financial situation with my ongoing bankruptcy, I am today shocked that whilst away working for a documentary on corrective surgeries that I should find myself, yet again, headline news.
"The media in my opinion once again are trying to cause continued humiliation to myself and family. There are far greater and more pressing issues going on around the world that are more important, and I'm sure most people are bored of reading stories that are consistently misrepresented.
"I have and I am continuing to cooperate with the relevant people on matters to the best of my ability, which will be addressed after my return from work. Despite consistent stories trying to humiliate me on my personal misfortunes, I am neither embarrassed or ashamed. I own my situation and I am trying my best to work my way out of it and put matters right. I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders, which is all I am trying to do right now. I am, however, not running from matters and will continue to take matters with great seriousness.
"I am doing the best I can to rectify things during extremely challenging times. Once again I would like to highlight there are far more greater and more newsworthy stories. I will continue to work on my mental health disorders for the sake of myself and family and do the best I can."
Following her arrest, partner JJ was seen going through Heathrow Airport alone after collecting the couple's luggage. Hours earlier he had posted on his Instagram after visiting Dentica International in Turkey.
On Friday, he was seen seemingly in an upbeat mood as he flashed his abs and showed off his tan from Turkey prior to Katie's court appearance. He was spotted walking towards his £45,000 Mercedes in nothing but a pair of pink board shorts and white baseball cap.
