'My mum has fainted' - Irish A

A delivery driver from Co. Galway has been hailed a hero after he came to the aid of a brave six year-old boy whose mother had collapsed.

In the amazing video captured on a doorbell camera at mum-of-three, Elizabeth Crooks' front door in the North of Ireland, her six-year-old son, Aidan, bravely asks Bryan Holian, from Tuam but working in Newtownards, Co. Down, to help his mum.

Showing absolutely no hesitation, Bryan reacted instinctively by calling emergency services who came to the mum's aid. The incredible clip shows the boy ask delivery man Bryan: "Excuse me, can you help my mum? She fainted." After a brief "Oh!", Bryan rushes up the path to the home, realises the situation and calls emergency services.

The mum was suffering from a severe case of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), which causes the heart to beat abnormally fast when a sufferer stands up from a sitting or laying positions. In extreme cases, the condition causes sufferers to collapse.

The clip went viral on social media as praise was heaped upon the modest delivery driver and the quick-thinking boy who hailed his help. News agencies as far away as Australia picked up the heart-warming video as efforts were made to contact the delivery driver.

The Co. Down mum told Galway Beo: "I'm not sure [who the hero is] - all I have is a first name 'Bryan', he's not on any social media . He's super thankful for the thanks and comments, but he's not interested in being on any websites, more than he already is."
