A fire has broken out at the former Crown Paints factory in Coolock. The facility has been the site of controversy after violent protests broke out on Monday.
Anti-immigrant protesters had gathered at a site designated to house asylum seekers at the former Crown Paints factory on the Malahide Road.
Petrol bombs, fireworks, and bricks were thrown and a JCB digger was torched during the incident, prompting a major response from emergency services. Gardai are currently at the factory after a fire erupted this evening.
Smoke can be seen rising from the site in the video captured by Dublin Live, who is at the scene.
