Jake Paul has been warned his fight with Mike Tyson will be cancelled for good after it was postponed earlier this year.

Paul should be preparing to take on Tyson in Texas this weekend but the heavyweight legend pulled out in May after suffering from an inflamed ulcer on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The bout has been rescheduled for November 15 but in the meantime, Paul will take on former UFC star Mike Perry in Florida this weekend.

And Perry, who has carved out a successful career in bare-knuckle boxing, insists he will spoil Paul's plans to return to the ring against Tyson this autumn. "That's not happening," he told his rival d uring a face-off for their fight on Saturday night. In response, Paul said: "I take big risks, that's why I put it all on the line. I don't stop for anybody, I want to stay active. I'm on the road to becoming world champion and this is a Mike appetiser.

"The Mike Tyson fight is happening but I need to stay active and take out mini Mike here. He's a violent guy like Mike Tyson; he comes forward and take shots. He throws wild punches like Mike Tyson and so this is good little warm-up for me, a Mike appetiser."

Paul has knocked out his last two opponents in the first round and went on to promise Perry he would not prolong his pain on Saturday night, predicting a second-round finish. "You're not in for much, it's actually going to be an easy night for you," he added. "You're going to go to sleep pretty quickly then wake up richer. It's really a great night for you."

Perry responded by recalling his last bare-knuckle bout in which he stopped Thiago Alves inside a minute to extend his unbeaten record to 5-0. "My last fight before this... you said this was going to be the fastest fight of my life but my last fight was 40 seconds against a man no-one had put down and I did it in 40 seconds," he said. "Nobody had done that to Thiago, not Georges St-Pierre, not any of the great fighters he fought, nobody in bare knuckle, no-one hurt him. Forty seconds... I just tapped him on the chin."
