Another professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing could be seen as a 'person of interest' according to an external source, amid allegations against Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice.

The BBC recently announced a huge change to the dance competition, predominantly to rehearsals, after the two Italian dancers were hit with allegations. It was alleged that Graziano behaved inappropriately towards his former dance partner Zara McDermott before he was axed from the BBC series.

It comes soon after it was confirmed in June that Giovanni would not be taking part in the 2024 line-up of professionals amid claims of "threatening and abusive behaviour", an allegation he vehemently denied. Sherlock star Amanda Abbington quit the show midway through the last series after rumours of training room fallouts with her partner Giovanni.

And now, it has been claimed that another professional dancer's name has 'come up' and could be seen as a 'person of interest'. A source claimed: "He is no longer part of the show but he has been named as a person of interest. Conversations are ongoing and there are more people who need to be spoken to."

They also alleged to The Sun : "What is becoming clear is that there appears to be a more widespread issue over the conduct of some of the professionals in training."

A BBC spokesperson stated: "As we told [the publication], we will always listen if people want to make us aware of something or raise it with us directly." A source also added to Mirror Online that "the BBC has not been told about a so-called third pro" and "is not probing any third person".

Zara McDermott claimed she was too "scared" to speak out following her experience on Strictly Come Dancing. Following his bombshell exit, Graziano took to Instagram, saying he "deeply regrets the events that led to my departure" adding: "When the time is right, I will share my story," whilst Zara explained how she had been "wrestling with the fear of opening up".

The BBC recently confirmed they're making changes ahead of the upcoming series. They said: "The BBC is today announcing additional steps to strengthen welfare and support on Strictly Come Dancing. Concerns that have arisen in recent months have been fundamentally about training and rehearsals.

"The actions we announce today are designed to address that. We have taken the decision to introduce the following additional practical steps. Going forward, we will have a production team member present during training room rehearsals at all times; increase existing support with the addition of two new roles on the show dedicated to welfare support – a Celebrity Welfare Producer and a Professional Dancer Welfare Producer; and deliver further training for the production team and crew."
