David Beckham and others wish Irish footballing legend Robbie Keane a happy birthday on social media.
The all-time Ireland top goalscorer amassing 68 senior goals celebrated his 44th birthday today with several friends and former teammates wishing the Dubliner well, including David Beckham.
Becks took to Instagram to wish his former LA Galaxy teammate best wishes with a photo of the two with the caption "Happy birthday mate". Keane and Beckham enjoyed a season together in 2011 for the Los Angeles side before Beckham departed for Paris Saint Germain. Keane, however, stayed on with the Galaxy until 2016.

Also wishing the former Ireland striker well was his Ireland compatriot and #1 throughout his Ireland tenure Shay Given. Given also took to Instagram to post a photo on his story of the two arm-in-arm on a bus during their travels with the Irish national squad.
YouTube star Billy Windgrove also posted birthday wishes to Keane on Instagram. Windgrove and Keane know each other well from their time playing in the SoccerAid charity matches.
Several football sides also celebrated Keane with the social media pages of the FAI, Wolves, Tottenham, Leeds, and Serie A taking the time to wish the legend well on his 44th birthday.
Keane has spent the last year managing Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, leading them to an Israeli Premier League championship along the way. He has since left the post in Israel following the title win and Champions League qualification and is currently looking for a job closer to home.
Recently, Keane has been linked to the vacant Irish manager job, with his positioning currently as joint third-favourite for the job currently held by John O'Shea on an Interim basis.
