Shane Filan’s wife has paid tribute to the Westlife star on his birthday – saying she is “so lucky” to have him.

Shane celebrated his 45th birthday on Friday and his wife Gillian was the first to celebrate the big occasion with a touching tribute to the star on social media.

Gillian, who has been married to Shane for 20 years, publicly wished him a happy birthday on social media, writing: “Happy Birthday Shane. You are an amazing mix of your incredible mum and dad and we are so lucky to have you. You deserve the best day.”

She accompanied the sweet message with a fun photo of the couple as they are on holiday in Portugal with their three children soaking up the sun.

The singer has been married to his wife Gillian for 20 years and they are parents to their daughter Nicole, 18, and sons Patrick, 15, and Shane Junior, 14.

Shane has been enjoying some down time after a hectic tour around Asia with his Westlife bandmates.
