Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina are expected to be amongst the hundreds of thousands of fans at Taylor Swift this weekend.

The American superstar finally touches down in Ireland this week with her Eras Tour and will play three sold out nights at the Aviva Stadium on June 28, 29 and 30.

Among the 200,000 fans, lots of famous faces are predicted to be in attendance, according to Ladbrokes.

Favourite to be spotted shaking it off at the gig is former Taoiseach and avid Swiftie Leo Varadkar at 1/3, with current Taoiseach Simon Harris at 5/6 to stop by.

President Michael D Higgins and wife Sabina are at evens to swap Áras an Uachtaráin for the Aviva Stadium and enjoy an evening of pop, glitter and friendship bracelets.

Others in the mix are the cast of Netflix series Wednesday, who are currently filming in Dublin. Stars Jenna Ortega, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Billie Piper are at evens to take a break from set and join in on Swift-mania.

Nicola McGeady, a spokesperson for Ladbrokes, said: "We’re experiencing the Taylor Takeover and if the odds are anything to go by, the Aviva Stadium will be filled with a mighty mix of Swifties, from actors and celebs to politicians and the President!"

It comes after the Grammy Award-winning singer performed in front of royalty at Wembley Stadium.

The Eras Tour has attracted many celebrity guests such as Tom Cruise, Paul McCartney, Nicola Coughlan and Salma Hayek, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, bookies Boylesports reckon Taylor will don county colours on stage across her three nights with the chances of an on-stage duet with Bono at the Aviva Stadium rated a 9/2 shot.

The U2 frontman is considered a likely guest after Sir Paul McCartney made an appearance in the crowd during a recent gig at Wembley.

A recently-discovered ancestral link to the north-west has also triggered a few outside wagers that the newly-adopted ‘Derry girl’ could wear the Oak Leaf county GAA colours on stage at some stage during her set.

Derry shirts will be prominent in the north-side of the city when Mickey Harte’s side take to Croke Park for their All-Ireland quarter final against Kerry, but we could be seeing one on the other side of town too according to odds of 10/1. There is a hot chance Swift could endear herself to the locals too by sporting the sky blue of Dublin at 2/1.

Some fans are hearing wedding bells for Swift and her celebrity boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as the American football star also made a cameo appearance during Swift’s London show last weekend.

It’s 20/1 that he gets down on one knee for a marriage proposal, but an appearance on stage at the Aviva looks very much possible at an odds-on 1/3.

Punters are also speculating that Swift will pay homage to Ireland’s rich musical history by covering some classics to come out of the Emerald Isle. It’s just 5/1 that a version of iconic Cranberries hit Zombie makes its way on to her setlist, while her own twist on U2’s One is a potential inclusion at the same price.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: "Some Swifties are eyeing a love story and even think she could shake off her usual attire for some GAA colours, so it’s safe to say the buzz around Taylor Swift’s Aviva Stadium visit is at fever pitch."

Following her three-day stint at Wembley, Ireland and the UK searches for ‘Eras Tour Tickets Dublin’ have hit their highest levels with fans looking to snap up last minute tickets.

Searches in Ireland have surged by 283 per cent and in the UK by 334 per cent over the past week.

Searches are at their highest ahead of Swift's takeover of the capital at the Aviva Stadium for three sold-out nights beginning on Friday 28 June.

Meanwhile, worldwide searches for ‘last minute Eras Tour tickets’ have also surged, by 316 per cent over the past week.

Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator PRO S.L said: "Taylor Swift's immense popularity in the UK and Ireland is reflected in the swift ticket sales, her extensive tour preparations, and a high level of fan engagement.

"Her highly anticipated Eras Tour sold-out across various huge cities- including Dublin.

"This huge event will have significant impacts on Ireland and the economy.

"Barclays predicted that fans would fork out a total of almost £1bn across her 15 UK and Ireland shows."
